Mitre

MITRE is a Singer, songwriter, and producer born in Mexico City. His music is a perfect blend between alternative, tango, traditional Mexican music, Spaghetti Western and sounds from the world. His first material was launched in 2010 under the name “Fugitivo” (Fugitive). Back in 2011 Mitre was named Favorite Artist by Italian “Radio FM”. One year later he moved to Texas to continue writing and producing at the renowned studio “Sonic Ranch”, one of the most important recording studios of all the world.

Mitre has had many presentations in Europe and in the USA, to name just a few of them BMI Summer Stage in NY, the LAMC, the official ceremony of Mexican Independence in Paris, Fr. and Barcelona, Spain. The latest ones by BMI at the Gibson Showroom in Beverly Hills, CA. and at the Levitt Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA. His music was featured on KCRW’s Today’s Top Tune on November 2015.

His eponymous new album ¨MITRE¨ is available in all digital stores around the world and features artists like David Garza, Irene Diaz, Yuri Lemeshev from Gogol Bordello and Margaret Cho.


MITRE es un cantante, compositor y productor nacido en México D.F. Su música es una mezcla perfecta entre el spaghetti western, tango, música alternativa, sonidos del mundo y la música tradicional mexicana. Su primer material se lanzo en el 2010 bajo el nombre “Fugitivo”. En el 2011 Mitre fue nombrado “El artista latino favorito de la gente” por la radio Italiana FM. Un año después se mudo a Texas para componer y producir música en el renombrado estudio “Sonic Ranch”. Mitre ha tenido muchas presentaciones en Europa y Estados Unidos entre las que destacan: “BMI Summer Stage” en NY, el festival “LAMC” (Latin Alternative Music Conference), la ceremonia oficial del grito de independencia de México en Paris, Francia y en Barcelona, España. Sus mas recientes presentaciones incluyen el Gibson Showroom de Beverly Hills, CA. y el Hotel Café en Hollywood. Fue seleccionado por KCRW en la sección Today’s Top Tune en Noviembre del 2015. MITRE Ha colaborado con muchos artistas y compositores entre los que destacan: Irene Diaz, Mónica Vélez, Ximena Muñoz, David Garza, Jaime Kohen, Margaret Cho, Iñaki Vázquez (Moderatto), Yuri Lemeshev (Gogol Bordello), Stefano Vieni, Pambo, Gabriela Villalba y Kalimba.
